Animals always have a way of making us smile. Reflecting our humanity with a lolling tongue, a glub-glub attitude, or by waving their shimmering mane in the wind, animals must be respected as our comrades of this planet. Whether they like it or not, they're going to be admired and revered respectfully by all the animal lovers of the world. It's the least we can do in exchange for the infinite mood boosting glitch of animal companionship.

Romping in the grass with the family cat, teaching a bird to say silly phrases, or holding a trembling hamster in their palms, animal lovers are reminded of all the wonderful things in this world when they interact with animals. Full of innocence and looking at us with kind eyes, animals are the positivity that's sometimes missing in the world, and when we're with them, cuddling on the couch, playing fetch, admiring them at the zoo, or encountering them in the wild, they impart some of that positivity on us.

Humans try to see themselves through the lens of the world; I guess it's one of the curses of this darned cerebral cortex being fully formed. While humans attempt to make meaning of the world, animals instead just live their lives to the fullest. There's something really special about that! Many people only wish they had the same frivolity, serendipity, and cuteness ingrained in their DNA.
Alas, it's for that reason that we love animals so much.
